Vamos is the Regional Administrative centre and has many shops which can supply the majority of local needs, a bakery which supplies the surrounding villages, serveral kafeneons, a bank, pharmacy, school and also the areas OTE office and police headquarters. Vamos also has an excellent 24 hour health centre (English-speaking).
