select location: click on this option to set the map in selection mode - clicking anywhere on the map will cause the nearest location to be selected and the property list below will update to display properties of that location

control map: shows up whenever the map is in selection mode - clicking on it will return the map to control mode, dragging the map and clicking on it will pan the map and zoom in/out.

zoom out/in: select whether clicking on the map will cause it to zoom in or out. You can also use your mousewheel to control the zoom.

reset map: puts the map back in control mode and zooms out to it's full extent

hide/show map: toggles the map's visibility
